Welcome to The History
of Keokuk Web Site! From the beginning, Keokuk has made use
of great potential for growth using the water power of the
Mississippi River. Keokuk was once a great hub of activity
that included a medical college, professional baseball, and
great industry. Once home to Civil War Generals and great
businessmen, Keokuk still retains many historic homes once
lived in by these legendary Americans. |
